Kayla Robinson
Chief Operations Manager
Kayla has been an integral part of our team since she graduated from Anderson University in 2018. She has gained experience with us in just about every role other than veterinarian and is happy to apply that knowledge to her current administrative position. As an aspiring veterinarian, she has always carried a passion for animal health and welfare, and that is evident in her compassionate care towards our patients and their humans alike. When she is not doing vet-related work, you can find her traveling, curled up with a new book, or exploring nature with her camera in hand.

Sarah Van Staalduinen
Administrative Director
Sarah is an NC State graduate with double majors in Animal Science and Applied Nutrition. She has lived with animals her entire life and has always had a special place in her heart for them. She has been with the company since 2019, and she loves her job. Not only does she have the opportunity to meet new people and pets on a daily basis, but she also gets to help those fur babies stay happy and healthy with their families. Her favorite things to do outside of work include spending time with her furry kiddos; two dogs named Ochi and Denali, and two cats named Juniper and George. When she’s not at work, you can find her hiking with her dog, or taking part in any other activities in which she can include them.

Caitlin O'Neil
Practice Manager
Hello! My name is Caitlin, and I have been with Walnut Street Animal Hospital since 2017. I started out as a receptionist and after being with this practice for a year, I was promoted to Manager and transferred to our sister location, Capital Blvd Animal Hospital. I absolutely loved the experience of opening a new clinic and getting acquainted with all of the rescues.
I am now being transferred to our newest location, Maynard Animal Hospital, as Manager and will be working very closely with the rescues. I admire the work the rescues do, and since being with this practice, I adopted three rescue kiddos of my own, Dumbo Jr (a cat), Snowflake (a dog), and Reese's (a dog). When I am not at work I am spending pool days with my human kiddos and/or watching Trolls on repeat.

Hi, I’m Holly! I am the Lead CSR at Maynard Animal Hospital. I have been with the company for just over 2 years. I moved from Pennsylvania four years ago and have loved every minute of it! I am happily married and blessed with a daughter. I have two chi chi babies named Luigi and Tiki, I also have an old man kitty cat named Blake. I tend to all our clients both furry and furless. I believe that the customer service and communication aspect of our hospital(s) is just as vital as the amazing pet care we provide here.

Cristina Lanzon
Veterinary Assistant
Hey! My name is Cris. (With no 'h'. That's important!)
Born and raised in Michigan, I moved to North Carolina on a whim and have been with Maynard Animal Hospital for almost a year. I had only been working in the veterinary field for around six months when Maynard took me on as an assistant, and I couldn't be happier. I enjoy working here so much (even on stressful days), and I adore my coworkers to my core. There's really not much more I could ask for in a workplace.
While I don't currently have any kiddos of my own, you'll often hear me talk about my family dogs, a 14-year-old Jack Russell Brussel Griffon named Lucky and a 5-year-old Havanese named Castiel (Cas for short). Those two single-pawedly jumpstarted my undying love for little dogs, and having dogs all my life definitely played a role in my interest in veterinary medicine. I love them both to bits and miss them every day. Thankfully, my mom keeps me updated with frequent pictures, who knows what I'd do otherwise.

Outside of work, you can usually find me playing video games with my friends, writing silly convoluted stories, singing a LOT (I must drive my coworkers crazy; Bless their hearts!), reading manga, or watching anime. Gotta enjoy the simple things in life, right?
It's been such an exhilarating experience getting to know and work with our amazing clientele and their precious kiddos. I've already learned an incredible amount in my short time here, and I'm so excited to continue to cultivate my breadth of knowledge to help provide as best care to your babies as I possibly can!

My name is River and I am a current pre-vet student at NC State working towards becoming a small animal veterinarian. I am a vet assistant here at Maynard Animal Hospital and I have loved working here since the first day I started! My favorite part of my job is seeing new and returning pet owners and getting to know their wonderful pets over time.
